Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter, who is 31, was dianosed with a cyst earlier this year. The cyst was over 4 cm and needed to be removed. In April she had laproscopic surgery to remove the cyst. During the surgery he nicked the cyst, which was a dermoid cyst. My daughter suffers from chemical perontonitus as a result of the surgery. We are looking for doctors who can treat her as her treatment isn't the best right now. She is 5'10" tall and healthy, she had a previous cyst removed 11 years ago with great results. She has lost about 50 pounds since the surgery. Weighs 140 lbs.
Dear laproscopic dermoid cyst ectomy cause spillage of the cyst contents into peritonium can cause chemical paritonitis. Chances may vary 15-50% but if the patient suffering from chemical paritonitis need again laproscopy or laprotomy to remove the cyst contents that cause irritation in the peritonium. Until unless you remove irritant it is difficult to control infection and inflammation. Please consult your surgeon immediately he will examine and treat you accordingly. I think I answered to your question if you have more questions please feel free to ask.
