hi, my brother's having sever cough and slightly bleed from mouth . ESR count is 51. mantoux test result of induration :12 mm. Reticulonodular lesions noted in the left mid zone as per X ray report. please let me know what is the status of decease and impact ?. Thanks G.S.srinivas
Hello, G S Sriniwas As you mentioned that your brother is having cough with blood in sputum .E SR raised 51 mm of 1st hour . shadow in X ray ( radiolucent ) . As far as concerned about the disease this is a case of tuberculosis and depth of tuberculosis is not clear . It depends upon the size of cavity present in the XRAY ( CHEST ) . In my opinion consult a Chest & Tuberculosis expert and get his complete treatment . Here I would like to say one thing that please take complete course of T B . 2nd reason of such cough and blood in sputum may be due to cancer in lungs , so consult your physician and get his opinion. But one thing is clear that now a day tuberculosis is 100 % a treatable disease within 6-9 months . Good luck.
