How To Treat The Pain In The Abdomen For A Person Having Ovarian Cysts?
I have pain in my lower right abdomen and have had a history of ovarian cysts. The pain is now accompanied by loose bowels every morning and sometimes dizziness. I will be going for an ultrasound next week. Is the occurrence of loose bowels a common symptom of the presence of ovarian cysts?
Ovarian cysts by leading to pelvic congestion can lead to irritation of the bowels and can lead to increased bowel movements. This is especially true when the cyst is large and if fluid releases due to rupture or torsion, that fluid will irritate the bowels and can lead to increased bowel movements and dizziness sometimes.
If the pain is severe and your increased bowel moments are not getting controlled with regular probiotics, better to consult your gynecologist now itself and get examined. By clinical examination and ultrasound the possible causes problem can be identified. If needed, in case of a large ovarian cyst with complications like torsion and rupture, laparoscopic surgery may also be needed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
