How To Treat Trichotillomania Related Severe Anxiety Disorder While On Gabergoline And Diabetic Medication?
I have had anxiety disorder since childhood in specific trichotillomania related and recently was prescribed gabergoline to raise testosterone by lowering prolactin . The anxiety level has really gone up similar to panic disorder as if hyperventilating and many times connected with masturbation . It makes me angry and sometimes psychologically sick to my stomach . The only other prescription I take is for border-line diabetes . I don't know what to do .

The below mentioned drug regime shall be tried for at least 6 months for managing trichotillomania associated with anxiety disorder.
1) Escitalopram at dose of 10-20 mg/ day. It is an anti depressant which will form the mainstay of this treatment.
2) Clonazepam at dose of 0.5 mg twice a day. It is a benzodiazepine anti anxiety agent which shall augment the action of escitalopram.
3) Quetiapine at dose of 25-50 mg / day, is an anti psychotic drug which will work against trichotillomania.
This regime should be taken for at least 6 months for effective recovery.
