Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I thought I had a yeast infection so I got Monastat suppositories and when trying to insert it had problem like something was in the way. Tried inserting it manually and realized it was being blocked by and either it is swollen or a growth blocking it. What do I do?
If you are detecting an anatomical abnormality then you may need to be examined by your doctor but if you have been assessed previously and not told of any problems, then you should be ok,
Swelling can occur in response to infection so it is possible that this is the case for you. An oral antifungal may be useful eg fluconazole.
I hope this helps
