Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Been using norco for nearly 7 years. When i first used the drug i just used the prescribed amount at 4-6 pills a day for my back problems. Now i can use up to 12-16 pills a day, if not 24 on days when my back keeps me bed ridden. Everytime i whean off the drug i get treamendous detoxificated side-effects that hurt my entire body. Never tried wheaning off the drug for more than 12 hours because the pain is too much. I'm thinking of checking myself into a detox for medical observation, but would try to see if anyone on the internet has had prior success with A COMFORTABLE DETOX.
Not really in two dimensions. First, there is the dimension you are thinking about. There is going to be some withdrawal. The COMFORTABLE DETOX method is inferior to suboxone.
But besides the relationship between drug and withdrawal, there is also the relationship between the relationship! How you feel about the withdrawal. I didn't even know this existed and the textbooks (but not the internet) ignore it completely. People get used to a comfort level with the withdrawal. On heroin people are used to really bad withdrawal. On narco this is intermediate and iwth suboxone people get used to a very very comfortable situation and even levels of withdrawal experienced by me who hasn't ever used narcotics (but I do get anxious, sweaty, and sometimes have aches) is felt as really bad.
Suboxone but being aware that one gets comfortable on it and long term coming off of them. The pain issue is going to make this difficult. Furthermore it is unlikely that someone is getting 10 to 20 pills a day from entirely legitimate sources so issues of true drug addiction would apply.
