How To Withdraw From Prednisone?
I was given prednisone 20 mg for an allergic reaction i had to mosquitos in my legs. i weigh 182 and I am 5 2. I am not sure about what the doctor said about the tapering schedule. Didnt understand can you help? Seems like he mentioned me taking 20 mg and then tapering it until it finished. But i didnt understand exactly what he meant.

Provide your prescription to check how you have been prescribed steroid in which manner. In short term use for 4-5 days no dose tapering needed. If it has been prescribed for a long duration then gradually daily dose is decreased. Like for example initially, it can be prescribed three times a day then two times a day and then once daily and then stop in that manner
