Hurts To Swallow, Stuffed Nose, Pain In Face. Why Dry Mouth? What Is Wrong?
I just woke up and my left side of my face hurts. My left nostril is stuffed (the right is perfect) it hurts when I swallow ... I cant tell if its my throat and/or my ear that hurts. It just happened while I was sleeping. what could it be? Side note: I was sleeping with a fan I woke up with a dry mouth (unusual) I ate soup (last time I ate this soup the same thing happened, yet my nose was not affected) thank you for your assistance, Ashelly
You may want to consider the use of an antihistamine and decongestant (these often are combined eg clarinase, zyrtec d, allegra d). In addition to use of a pain killer to reduce the pain would be helpful- ibuprofen, cataflam, aspirin
Rest and use of enough fluids would also be part of your treatment.
Hi, in my opinion you have throat infection . Your throat pain when you swallow with stuffed nose, dry mouth all suggests infection. If I were your treating doctor I would have advised you to take just anti inflammatory medicines for 2 days with anti histamines. If symptoms persist then start with penicillin antibiotics. Avoid taking that same soup again.

Hurts To Swallow, Stuffed Nose, Pain In Face. Why Dry Mouth? What Is Wrong?
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic It is likely a viral infection infecting the sinuses and other aspects of the upper respiratory tract. Sinus congestion can cause facial pain and nasal congestion. You may want to consider the use of an antihistamine and decongestant (these often are combined eg clarinase, zyrtec d, allegra d). In addition to use of a pain killer to reduce the pain would be helpful- ibuprofen, cataflam, aspirin Rest and use of enough fluids would also be part of your treatment. I hope this helps
