My doctor prescribed valtrex 1 gram capsules for my occassional outbreaks of genital herpes.. The instructions are, "Take 1 capsule 2 times a day. There are 6 capsules in the bottle. Does that mean to take all 6 capsules over a period of three days or just two capsules in 24 hours with each occurrance? I hope this question does not generate marketing of products or drugs related to my diagnosis or this web site usage!
