I am 40 years old, 5'4", 145 lbs. No major medical problems. I have had pain in the back of my throat for about a week now. The pain is not like strep or tonsillitis as it is only in one area in the back of my throat. A few minutes ago when I swallowed I heard a pop and now it is very painful to swallow. The pain is worse on the right side of the upper part of the back of my throat.
