I Am 51 And Had A Uterine Ablation Approximately Ten

I am 51 and had a uterine ablation approximately ten years ago. My doctor performed the procedure after several years of heavy bleeding (at least one tampon an hour) during my period. Overall, the procedure was a wonderful solution to the polyps that were causing my problems. I wasn't planning on any more children, but didn't want to lose my uterus......plus it ended my periods.
MY QUESTION: Are ablations permanent or can my uterus eventually separate? I've recently had some spotting and am wondering if this could be what is happening? And if so, can I be at risk of pregnancy?
