I Am A Practicing Dentist, So My Vision Is Key

I am a practicing dentist, so my vision is key for me and have history of rapidly progressing cataracts, requiring bilateral retina and rt eye cataract lens replacement surgery with good outcome. My ophthalmologist monitors my left eye and recommends lens replacement surgery, when it is clear to me that my vision has deteriorated to the point I need it. I have BPH, and am considering Uroxatral to minimize risk of IFIS with left eye, when needed. Questions are your suggestions to do what : 1) Not take uroxatral until after left eye surgery, with BPH a major problem or 2) take uroxatral w/ lesser risk of IFIS, then have surgery to left eye when deteriorating vision dictates it to be done?? Any other suggestion is appreciated?
