I am an alcoholic and have been told to stop drinking several times but most recently last Tuesday when my blood work showed an inflamed pancreas, high white blood count and high liver lipids. I can't seem to quit but today when I got home from work I had a runny black stool and I made myself throw up and mixed in with water was a dark solution. I am stopping this minute but have I caused irreparable harm? I've also had pressure on the upper part of my stomach. I'm calling my doctor tomorrow but wanted some answers tonight.
