I Am Being Treated For Hypothyroidism (Hashimoto) With Medication. I

I am being treated for hypothyroidism (Hashimoto) with medication. I have recently begun to experience joint pain in my hands as well as fatigue & general malaise. Recent lab tests showed I'm low in iron as well as Vitamin B12. My thyroid numbers are much lower as well. My health care provider is recommending follow-up tests & possible referral to a rheumatologist but I am thinking I need to see an Endocrinologist instead. Would like your thoughts on this.
