I am currently scheduled to have an ICD/pacemaker put in in two weeks. I have been diagnosed with CHF. My EF is at 15% and has been that way for at least 6 months. I have an arrhythmia. I was just told by the Dr. that is going to do the procedure that it will not help my EF factor to have this done, and that I will never get better. Why have it done then? I am 51 years old.
