I Am Getting Bad Odor From Teeth. Is It Pyria ?
Sir, I am Atul, I m noticing since last week that saliva that sticks to teeth is causing bad odour, when I rub my teeth and smell it bad odour occurs. I m afraid of pyria. Is it the problem of pyria or in my saliva or its something else??

With the details provided by you, there are two possibilities for bad odor from teeth. The first possibility is that you have deposits on your teeth which would have caused inflammation of gums (swelling, bleeding, redness), as a result of which there would be collection of pus within the gums which would give bad odor and also will cause stickiness on tooth. Pyorrhea is a much more severe condition where there is lot of tissues surrounding the tooth including bone in which case the tooth would be mobile and lot of pus would be oozing out the gums.
the second possibility is that your saliva is too viscous (thick) in nature and it is not having flushing action on the tooth, thereby there is more plaque accumulation on the teeth and thus resulting in bad odor
Having listed out the above two causes in your condition, I would say most likely cause in your case is the first one. It may not be a full blown pyorrhea, but it may be initial stages of gingivitis/periodontitis. Visit a dentist and get thorough scaling done, both supragingival and subgingival scaling (deep cleaning) should be done. Dentist may prescribe you some mouthwash for few days, which should be enough to treat your symptoms.

dear Atul, pyorrhea is cause of bad oral hygiene maintainance and habits also. are you having swollen gums or gums dropping down from teeth along with bad odor is an indication of pyorrhea.
simple bad breath may be due to your tobacco associated habits improper brushing and cleaning of tongue, less amount of water in your complete diet or deficiency of vitamin C.
visit the dentist and get your oral prophylaxis done i.e, check up with associated procedures.

First of all it should be understood that malodor is caused by many reasons like decayed teeth, poor oral hygiene, gastric problems,Sinusitis, liver disorder, diabetis, smoking, alcohol consumption, tobacco chewing. You should consult a dentist to check for any problem in your oral cavity.If the problem is due to calculus and plaque it can be removed by scaling and polishing of your teeth. Flossing of teeth and tongue cleaning using tongue scraper should be done daily.

What i understand from your description is that you require a thorough cleaning by your dentist as this smell may be due to bad oral hygiene. Once scaling and polishing is done along with usage of a good mouthwash, i am quite hopeful that your problem will resolve.

bad odour or halitosis may be due food impaction on your tooth surfaces . home remedy will be gargle your mouth using mouth washes. if problem persists consult a dentist soon and go for a scaling (cleaning stains and deposits). take care.
