I Am On Bromergon For About 2 Months Now. How Long Should I Need To Take Them?
hello, i did a test some months back and realized i had a high level of prolactin, i have been placed on bromergon for about 2 months now and i was wondering how long i need to take them for my prolactin level to reduce, as am trying to fall pregnant my doctor also placed me on chlomid on the second day of my period.
Bromergon contains Bromocriptine, which is dopamine agonist and used to treat the hyperprolactinemia. The period of treatment depends on the pre treatment levels of prolactin and its response to treatment. Sometimes the prolactin levels can come to normal in around two months, in case of high levels of prolactin, treatment need to extent up to six months.
Hyperprolactinemia can affect the fertility also by affecting the ovulation. So, using bromocriptine during ovulation induction can increase the success rate. Regarding the continuation, please consult your doctor once and repeat the serum prolactin levels, depending on the result, you can gradually decrease the dose and can stop.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
