Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I broke my fibula last October and had plates and screws put in to hopefully avoid arthritis that the doc said could possibly result in a couple of years. After recovery from surgery and healing of the bone, I was walking with very little difficulty. About 6 months ago, I started feeling some pain across the top of my foot at the the joint when I would walk. It would come and go and I would deal with it. The last 2 months it is pretty constant. I walk with a limp and the pain radiates to my toes and up the side of my leg where the plates were put in. It seems too soon for arthritis???????
