I Broke My Wrist Yesterday. The Orthopedic Surgeon Finally Looked

I broke my wrist yesterday. The Orthopedic Surgeon finally looked at the X-rays today and said I will need surgery. But I don't even go in to see him until Tuesday, and nothing was said about when the surgery would be. Does this seen reasonable to you - to wait 6 days before he even sees me?
