I Did Not Get A Genital Exam
I am 55 years old and never went to doctors, except for work physicals, until last year. I m a male ,but I chose a female doctor because I feel they are easier to talk to. In both physicals I ve received I did not get a genital exam. Is this because of my age or do female doctors try not to do it because they feel the patient will be embarassed? And would it be out of line for me to request that it be done ?

there is line of treatment and physical examination for diagonosis of diseases as per the symptoms of you. if related system they would have examnied your genitalia. If it is unrelevent there is no thing to check it unnecessaary

not really. female or male doctors are the same.they treat patients the same.. I guess having herpes/HIV/HPV is not the end of the world. One of my friends who's living with genital herpes told me about Positivemate.com.
