I Do Volunteer Hospice Service. Current Patient Is In Nursing
I do volunteer hospice service. Current patient is in nursing home, is 85 y/o, confined to wheelchair, unable to speak and 85 % unable to move. Patient eats well but must be fed. Patient has begun some serious " throat clearing . I'm 78 y/o, have had triple bypass but other than that have no medical problems. I exercise a lot .. Ride spinning bike and strength train 2 times each week and play golf after training on average 4 days a week. Should I be concerned about acquiring pneu bacteria and should I cease servicing patient ?
