I Got Tooth Left Under The Gum Line. Is It Dangerous & Will It Fall Out By Itself ?
i have a tooth with a very bad cavity.. the whole top part of my tooth broke off and now i got tooth left under the gum line.. what do i do? will it fall out by itself? is it dangerous?
Hi,
Your tooth is grossly destructed and only the roots of the tooth remain. You have to get it extracted as soon as possible and replace the tooth by a fixed or removable prosthesis.
Hi, please get the underlying root of the tooth removed because it is likely to get infected giving you pain and swelling. After the removal get the missing tooth replaced to maintain the integrity of the teeth and prevent loosening of the remaining teeth. Take care!
Hi e1988ftw,
The RESIDUAL ROOT STUMPS should be removed ASAP.
They are dead & the body no longer recognizes them as yours. This can cause a foreign body reaction & lead to abscess/pain.
After extraction & healing replacement is a must to maintain arch integrity.
Thanks & take care
