I Had A Laminectomy, Shortly After I Had Some Setbacks

I had a laminectomy, shortly after I had some setbacks symptoms which turned out to be a MRSA infection in my spine. The surgeon reopened the surgical site and cleaned the area. After three days in the hospital I was sent home with a pik line. I finished the course of antibiotics and I am now on a pill form of the antibiotic. My question is I am having incredible sciatic pain like just before the procedure, my primary care doctor told me I may need a second procedure to clean out some scar tissue and that may have been created because of the infection can that be done while I still have the infection ?
Thanks so much for any advice you can offer. I have an appointment with the surgeon next week I was just hoping to maybe get an idea of when I was in for.
Thank you,
John Finocchi
