I Had Surgery On My Cervical Spine(fusion)about 6weeks Ago. I

I had surgery on my cervical spine(fusion)about 6weeks ago. I have swelling on the roof of my mouth behind my uvula ( I am not sure if my uvula is swollen because I am not sure what size it should be).
I can barely eat, if I do eat I have to drink after I take a bite to get it down. It gets stuck at the beginning of my throat. I also have a hard lump under my chin and down my throat. I go back to see my surgeon next Friday. Do you know what caused this and what should I do?
