I Have A Acidity Problem With Complication. But Still The Problem Is There.

Hi, I have problem with acidity that seem to create problem around my adam s apple. Whenever gas builds up, my adam s apple seems to stetch out and pulling feeling around my neck. And after I blench (or burp), it seems to be alright. I went to a ENT specialist and he said I have GERD and little bit of infection in my throat. But, I took the infection dose for 10 days, but still the problem is there. The GERD dose is still there for 20 more days. Please help.

Hi,

According to your explanation this appears to be GERD with Laryngo pharyngeal reflux. Drink plenty of water, frequent small meals, avoid coffee/tea/oily/spicy food/stress. Take your supper 2 hours before you go to bed and once you take your supper do not take anything in between. Also, try taking proton pump inhibitors (such as Esomeprazole/Pantoperazole).

thank you for the reply and suggestion. But, going through the symptoms of Laryngo pharyngeal reflux, i don't have wheezing, or hoarseness or difficulty in swallowing or getting the food up the food pipe. Just excessive gas. But, the GERD capsule prescribed to me is Rabiros D. I also am taking ayurvedic medicine such as sarasparilla with jeerakarishtam morning and night. Am i still having Laryngo pharyngeal reflux? Is it completely curable? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

It is definitely curable, only thing is you need to take medicines regularly and go for a walk to improve the abdominal muscles and in turn it will increase the strength of the esophageal sphincter. You are having eructations that itself is the acidic fumes which will cause irritation of the throat. You need not have wheezing because of Laryngo pharyngeal reflux.
