I have a friend who had surgery today. He was diagnosed with colon cancer a year ago and underwent surgery and chemo. Ended chemo in August and felt better for a while then went down hill with shortness of breathe, fatique, stomach pain, in bed over holidays. They found an absess hence the surgery today..... Results......Surgeon was able to section an infected area of colon and attach to another area. However there are numerous other smaller tumors that line the whole area underneath the fatty tissue of colon bowel and aortic area. Cancer lymp nodes that run along that whole area.
