I Have A Quite Small Protrusion Near My Joint Of

I have a quite small protrusion near my joint of my index finger that has some pain when I press on it. I'm thinking it may be a ganglion cyst. I am a 55 yr. old female and thought possibly it may be arthritis? Do ganglion cysts have pain/tenderness? It's usually just when I press on it or bump it.
