Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have developed a racing heart in the past few years since we opened our business. i have seen my primary physician about this several times. He attributes it to stress. Tests have been taken and the health of my heart seems fine. The racing heart normally happens after I go to sleep which would wakes me up. Usually within 3 hours the heartbeat returns to normal. The last few weeks it has happened during the day which is more bothersome since being at work. At home I lay down and take a nap which helps. I am now taking 25mm of metopropol (?) but I still get the racing heart, but less often. I have read quite a bit about this. Thought I would reach out here. Is there a cure? or is this something I have to live and deal with? Would alternative medicine help such as acupuncture?
