I Have Frequently Occurring Instances Of A Sore Throat, Generally

I have frequently occurring instances of a sore throat, generally with no other symptoms. Drinking fluids helps only temporarily, but often causes me to need to drink a lot of water and then crave salt to balance it out. I then have to unrinate excessively as a result, but no more than expected. When my throat doesn't hurt, my fluid/salt intake is normal. Problem is chronic and has lasted at least a few months. Pain in throat 1.5 or 2 on 0-10 scale. What should I do?
