I have pimple marks and small pits/holes on my face left by pimples.I have pimple marks and small pits/holes on my face left by pimples. I have heard of chemical peels. Please tell me if I Can go for these or not. priyanka,for acne scars esp pits or depressed scars ,the best would be laser resurfacing (fractional laser).Next would be Derma roller ,which is a small instrument which is rolled over skin to cause collagen remodeling ,and thus cause lifting of acne scars.
Chemical peeling has a very minimum result on acne scars.It works best for pigmented lesions or black spots left by acne.Chemical peel is safe if undone under experienced hands of a dermatologist( don't get it done in beauty parlor or by technicians).You require multiple sessions for all these procedures.
If scars are deep then one can go for punch excision and replacement or punch flotation.
So,consult a dermatologist who has above facilities and is experienced to use lasers.

acne marks are usually depressed scars. in such cases dermabrasion or face resurfacing will give you the best result. may take a few months before final result appears but its permanent, it also refreshes your skin so you get extra glow and a fresh look.
