I Have Recently Been Diagnosed With Heart Muscle Disease, Dilated

I have recently been diagnosed with Heart Muscle Disease, Dilated Cardiomyopathy. I am 73 and hardly been sick a day in my life. All of a sudden I have shortness of breath and that becomes the stated diagnosis.

My blood pressure is normal and has been my entire life and I have no other symptoms. I no longer can exercise like I used to and am reduce to twice daily walks of 2 to 3 miles. My ejection fraction is 25%.

I am taking Plavix. Bosoprolo and Enlapril along with Lipitor and Baby aspirin.

I am 5 foot 11 inches and weigh 175 pounds. I have cut out salt but used it sparingly anyhow. I eat mostly chicken and fish with some pork along with lots of vegetables and fruits.

One answer I can not get; What is my range of life span that I should expect with this diagnosis?
