I have taken alprazolam, 1 mg. 4x daily since 1983 for anxiety. I have had nonnarcotic pain medications since 1992 for my conditions: musculoskeletal (scoliosis, and RA now in the large joints for 6 years and osteoporosis). Six years ago I was prescribed Dilaudid 4 mg. 3x daily. It says on the drug interaction checker than Xanax and Dilaudid should not be taken together. I haven't had any trouble, so what is the bad interaction?
