I Have Thigh/buttock Pain, What Could It Be ?

I have sharp pain in the TOP or FRONTof one thigh (not the back side, like typical sciatica), and deep pain in the buttock on the same side - not necessarily at the same time. Sometimes I'm OK, other times the pain is debilitating. It doesn't fit the usual symptoms of sciatica that I know - what could it be?

it may be  the front part of the sciatica called paresthesia merelgia, it is also a nerve disorder.
