I have viral enteritis determined with CT. My doctor prescribed Zantac and the paper from the pharmacy said I should take it all, whereas the doctor said I should take it for 2 -3 weeks and then as needed. Most symptoms are gone after three days. Why do I need to take meds for three weeks?
