I Hear A Heartbeat In My Right Ear, Please Suggest Me
I hear a heartbeat in my right ear it comes on all of a sudden. I usually get a headache also. I have had many colds in the past twelve months and thought it was just a symptom of the colds but i have been well for about two months now and still get the heartbeat and headaches about once or twice a week sometimes three times a week. Thinking back I think it started with a sort of wooshing noise but now I only get the heartbeat sound.

I have had something very similar. I DID have a head injury in 2006--I had to go to the er to get a few staples in my head. I cut them out myself one morning with some pliers and never went back to the doctor.
I've been able to hear my heart beat in my ear for many years (around five years--can't remember if it was before or after the head injury). Certainly before m root canal. After a root canal, I developed bell's palsy which has lasted for nearly a year.
My bell's palsy was just recently diagnosed when I went to the doctor because I woke up and couldn't hear out of my left ear at all. He said he thought I had a block in my Eustachian tube--gave me some drops and told me to take Pseudophedrine Hydrocloride 12 hour. I told him about my face. He said that I had BP and to see a neurologist.
Could the bell's palsy be related to the sudden hearing loss? Could the onset of BP be related to something dental? The drops don't seem to be making my ear any better. I guess I'll have to go back to the doctor, but I hate waiting.
Pulsatile Tinnitus can develop due to many reasons. The simplest explanation in your case would be persistent middle ear inflammation or fluid accumulation. This can be picked up by basic ear examination and impedance audiometry. Depending upon your age, blood pressure, noise exposure, history of recent head trauma, recent medicine intake and the result of the above tests, in the presence of headaches and one sided tinnitus, it will be worthwhile to exclude ear wax buildup, hearing loss, anemia, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, increased blood lipids / cholesterol and get a neck vessel color doppler (to rule out any plaques), CT Temporal Bones / MRA (MR Angiography) to rule out any AVM (Arterio-venous Malformation), Glomus (rare vascular ear tumors). Start from the basic tests first and let us know your results along the way.
