Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just had my first PSA test. I'm 75 years old. Results were 4.0 ng/ml. I was told this is about twice a normal level. I will be seeing a urologist for an appointment and further evaluation. In September 2017, I had blood in my urine. I was told the cause was too many blood thinners. We reduced blood thinners to only Eliquis and low dose aspirin. The bleeding was thought to be from my enlarged prostrate. Does an elevated PSA indicate prostrate cancer?
