Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just recently lost one my of my older sisters to Sepsis. She was already battling cancer of the colon and a tumor. The tumor was in a shrinking stage so when small enough could be removed. My understanding is she went to her Doctor that was treating her for gas, bloating and pain.He performed a non surgical procedure in his office.About 2 weeks later she was in horrid pain and thought it was the effects of Chemo. She was rushed to a Quality top 100 hospital. They found she had Sepsis. They tried to control it..but it spread throughout her body, dooming her.The family watched as the tubes and equipment was removed. The Surgeon I spoke with said there was a possibility that something was done wrong. He said..It could have been an unavoidable infection. She had a perforation on her liver.Could that have happened as a result by the previous Doctor by whatever procedure he might have done?
