I Just Started Using Shikakai, Amla Powder, And Bentonite Clay

I just started using shikakai, amla powder, and bentonite clay to clean my hair. My scalp is now periodically itchy. I eat the amla normally with no problems, I use the bentonite clay on my face wih no problems, and I believe the shikakai may be causing he itching. Is the shikakai the problem? Should I rinse with Apple cider vinegar after?
