I need some advice concerning vaginal bleeding. I have been bleeding for almost 2 months heavily. I don't have insurance and was referred to a clinic on aug. 30. A few hours later I got a call to go to the ER to get a blood transfusion, which I did and received 2 bags of blood. The dr gave me a script to take for 2 weeks to stop the bleeding, but it never really stopped it just wasn't as heavy. The day before the last pill I started bleeding heavy again. I did notice that when it was lighter and I would lay on my back I would gush a bloody fluid. I have an appt at the womens center on sept 20, and an ultrasound for sept 25th. My concern is that I am bleeding so heavy I am using an adult diaper along with the biggest maxi I could find, and I don't want to end up having to have another blood transfusion. Should I do what I've been doing and doubling up on iron pills with lots of water and tough it out til thur. or go back to the ER. I'm not sure what they can do in the ER tho except give me more blood if I need it.
