I recently started the contraceptive pill which contains 21 active pills and 7 inactive (sugar pills) I have taken all the active pills and recently started about 3 of the sugar pills as I'm due to start my period, however today I left the last 4 in actives and started a new pack and took a active pill this morning. I am planning on having sex for the first time ever this evening, but will I be protected or not as I have been taking the sugar pill for the past 3 days? Thank you.
