I recently was charged with distribution of a controlled substance , however the drugs did not belong too me. I had a triple level back fusion and have been on pain meds for two yrs now. Can my doctor cut me off of my pain meds, even though I have not been to court for the charge yet , and the NA has already told me that he knew the meds belonged to another person and they are working on having the charge against me thrown out. My doc told me he did not know if he is allowed too still write my meds bc of the charge. Shouldn't he have to continue to write my prescriptions , as I'm suppose to be innocent until proven guilty anyway.
