I Recently Went To See My PCP And Explained That

I recently went to see my PCP and explained that I have burning in my throat and prescribed me the generic form of Nexium. Today is the first day taking it around 11:00 this afternoon and around 8:30 tonight I'm having really bad stomach pain. I ate a small salad thinking i may be hungry but The pain is consistent and seems to be getting worse. I drank some almond milk and the pain is still there. Is this common?Could I be allergic? Should I run to the hospital?
