Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I slipped and fell on ice, hitting my head and back. Just like what slipping on a banana peel looks like. I was taken by ambulance to ER where they sent me home several hours later with muscle relaxers and pain meds. I suffered with back pain. then pain in my groin. I was bent over because walking straight hurt too much. Over a period of time I had PT, chiropractor treatments, trigger point injections, pain mgmt. that included epidurals and hip injections but it only helped temporarily - and eventually hip replacement. Also I lost my smell and taste because of my head hitting the concrete. How does someone who never even knew they had arthritis in their hip need a hip replacement? I never had the first pain and wore heels everyday. It's ironic that I was in flats the day I fell.
