I Started My Current Birth Control In Late August. This

I started my current birth control in late August. This will be three months of taking my birth control. When I first started I was really bad at taking the pills everyday at the same time and ended up missing a pill. I took the pill as soon as I got up the next day. About 2 days later my boyfriend and I were having sex and the condom ripped. He said that he pulled out before he ejectulated. I started my period 3 days after this night but it was 2 weeks before I was supposed to start. My period lasted for 2 weeks. This month, about 2 days ago I noticed I had brownish colored blood spots in my underwear but they were small. I know that breakthrough bleeding is common with my birth control during the first three months. But being me I worry about everything and took a pregnancy test. The test came up not pregnant. Today I noticed my bleeding had become more of a redish normal period color and was a bit heavier. Could this just be my body still adjusting to the pills? Could I be pregnant? Help!
