I took my first dose of 8 mg methylprednisolone ,to help recover feeling in my fingers after carpal tunnel surgery.Im supposed to take 8 mg in the morning and another 8 mg at night.I have hashimotos and take 125 meg thyroxine as well.no other Meds.well a few minutes after taking the steroid pill I started sweating and my heart rate increased to 98 bpm.I usually have a heart rate in the 70s to low 80s.My bp I fine.i keep feeling like I can't get enough oxygen.I also smoke cigarettes .Im out of the country and can't reach my dr right now.Should I stop taking the pills,or are these common side effects?Thank you for your time.
