I have undertaken an AFB Culture test for diagnosis of Tuberculosis. The result is AFB:Negative
PUS:Few
So what does this conclude? Is there a chance of infection?
I dont think that you are talking about culture but a microscopic examination to check for Acid Fast Bacilli. Presence of pus cells suggests that there is a bacterial infection. You can find out the organism if you go in for culture. From treatment point of view, an antibiotic course is essential.
