I Was Awakened By Heart Pounding Hard & Fast, Any Advice Or Suggestions ?
I was awakened twice tonight by heart pounding extremely hard and fast. So hard, it was shaking my bed. I could physically feel it pounding out of my chest. This has only happened once before and it was recent. Any advice or suggestions??

feeling your heart beat is called palpitations.
it can be benign but i would advise you to get a health check done to rule out any conduction abnormalities.
i would suggest you to get a EKG and a echo done.

Hi well ome to HCM.
It could be due to sinus tachycardia related to some dream ie some fear full dream
or some exciting dream for you.Its called palpitation. If not happening any thing on
exertion during day activity just forget it if occures repeatedly get checked for intermitant arrhythmia ie heart beat irregularity. Thanks
