I was diagnosed with graves disease 22 years ago. The thyroid was zapped with radioactive pill. I have been on levothyroxine since then. Do I still have a thyroid? Are there more tests to determine a normal level of hormones? My doc only does TSH blood tests and says my levels are normal, however, I still experience fatigue, hair loss and fingernail issues. is there any new medications to help with normalizing hormone levels?
