I was just recently diagnosed with skipping heart beats. I only have caffeine occasionally, but am still having issues as they hurt and are very uncomfortable. The doctor said then I may want to consider going on a beta blocker. I'm trying to educate myself on them so when I see him next month I can make a knowledgeable decision. I wasn't told, but I believe they are PAC as the pain is near the top, not the bottom. I've also had a heart catherization (abnormal EKG twice, failed stress test, shortness of breath, increasing pain), but it came back completely normal, no blockage whatsoever. I'm particularly concerned about side effects as I have MS, asthma, and am a diabetic. The asthma hasn't required me to use my rescue or take medications for over 2 or more years! My name is Doc Croc (PhD)
