Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was on Klonopin for many years to help with panic attacks and sleep issues. In the last 10 years I have used it primarily for sleep. About a year ago I slowly weaned myself off the drug as I started riding a motorcycle and didn't want the "foggy brain" as I sometimes get. I was thinking it was from Klonopin - now I am wondering if it is just estrogen fog. Anyway, I have been off of it for about a year and now use medical cannabis (I do have a license). I am finding Cannabis isn't working that well for my sleep. This week, I had the death of a pet and was so distraught that I pulled out my Klonopin and took one. I had the best night's sleep. It was so nice to be able to sleep after having months and years of not sleeping. Is Klonopin really that bad? I was taking the minimum dose. Thanks. Lori
